Your Coach for Coverage — Kevin Genteman Jr.
I was born and raised right here in St. Charles County, and family is at the center of everything I do. I’m a father of four, three beautiful daughters and one son. My oldest daughter lives just outside Kansas City where she works as a preschool director. One daughter attends North Point High School in Wentzville, my son is at North Point Middle School and my youngest daughter is in kindergarten. Like the families I work with every day, I’m raising kids, planning ahead and doing my best to protect what matters most.
Professionally, I’m part of a large national brokerage firm, which gives him something most agents simply don’t have—options. When I say I’m one of the best brokers in the state, I mean it. I have access to carriers and products that most brokers simply don’t and more importantly, I have the freedom and flexibility to place my clients in the right policy for their family’s situation, not a one-size-fits-all plan.
I encourage people to test me. Show me what you have. If I can’t find you better coverage at a better price, I’ll be the first one to tell you. That’s not a sales line, it’s a promise.
My path into healthcare wasn’t accidental—it was personal.
For years, I ran my family business with my parents while it was thriving and they were starting to enjoy semi-retirement. Then tragedy struck. My parents were involved in a motorcycle accident. My mom was fortunate, she slid down a hill wearing her leathers and walked away with bumps and bruises. My dad wasn’t so lucky.
He suffered catastrophic injuries—over 30 broken bones, all but two ribs fractured, multiple broken vertebrae in his spine and neck then an emergency life-flight to the hospital. Today, he is now a paraplegic.
Life changed fast.
Beyond the emotional toll, the financial reality was eye-opening. The life flight alone cost $87,000. His wheelchair cost $18,000, you can literally buy a Kia for that. And that was just the beginning. I saw firsthand how quickly medical costs can drain a family’s savings and turn a bad day into a lifelong burden.
At that point, I knew I needed a change. I had success in business but I was burned out and I wanted to help people where there is the most confusion and hopelessness. I wanted to help families before they were forced to learn these lessons the hard way.
That’s where I am today, helping families get the protection they need so one tragedy doesn’t become a financial disaster. My goal is simple: clarity instead of confusion, coverage instead of guesswork and peace of mind when it matters most.
That’s what Your Coach for Coverage stands for.
